ABSTRACT
Having decided upon your research question and your hypotheses the next thing that you
will have to decide before you begin your research is exactly what method you will use.
Methods fall into three groups:
• experimental methods: laboratory or field experiments. • natural experiments and quasi-experiments. • non-experimental methods: such as investigations using correlation, observation, ques-
tionnaires and surveys, interviews, psychological tests, content analysis and discourse
analysis.
