ABSTRACT

The group sets up the equipment to audio-dub a new sound-track onto one of the copies (page 256). One person sets up the recorder, another the sound levels, and a third is the floor manager.

The audio-dub can be improvised spontaneously. The recorder starts, and the mike is passed along each time a different character speaks. Alternatively, the group can prepare by watching the tape first (preferably without sound) to assign characters. Play back the original version with sound, followed by the copy with the new sound-track, and compare.
