Value • Empowerment Street interviews are particularly empowering. Initially the group
can feel intimidated by the idea of approaching strangers, yet video legitimates stopping people in the street to ask them questions; in fact many passers-by take part willingly, because being asked their opinions makes them feel valued. Conducting the interviews successfully, and being viewed as a proficient production team, can increase the group’s confidence and self-esteem considerably.
