ABSTRACT
Example Women vendors in India used video in negotiations with the municipality about their rights to space in the market. Most of the illiterate vendors would not have had the confidence to talk to the government directly. The women’s video group recorded a discussion of the issues and played it to the commissioner so that he could hear their problems (Stewart 1988:15).
