ABSTRACT
The success of a participatory video project is fundamentally determined by how it is set up. Groundwork undertaken before a project begins may lack the excitement of the face-to-face work but it is vitally important. It requires as much attention as the project sessions themselves. Many of the potential problems can be avoided by forethought and careful preparation.
