ABSTRACT
Religious diplomacy can be described as state activity consisting of the use of the religious factor in foreign policy; that is, the whole set of mechanisms of the state’s cooperation with religious associations in the pragmatically defined national interest, use of the international activity of religious institutions, ideas and religious symbols (appropriately interpreted for realization of current political aims) and so on.
