ABSTRACT
I hope to explore a network of ideas which have a child playing and painting at its centre, so I would ask you to leave the culture of the adult world for a moment and follow this child, who merely for ease of writing, is a boy. And for the sake of simplicity also, the word ‘painting’ will have to cover the use of any plastic medium, any tactile substance, that the child might use to create an image.
