ABSTRACT
Training for guidance practitioners has undergone radical change in the 1990s. This chapter describes very briefly the nature of some of these changes and looks at the availability of training in the counselling approach to careers guidance. It also examines arrangements for the continuous professional development of careers advisers, especially in relation to the development of counselling skills.
