ABSTRACT
In a world in which the concept of ‘a career’ is becoming increasingly fluid, careers guidance is not a once-in-a-lifetime injection of wisdom which orients a person in a particular direction for all time. As life enters new phases and external circumstances add fresh dimensions to a person’s situation, so the need for guidance arises at various times in an individual’s life.
