ABSTRACT

Yet perhaps it was an enjoyment of the company of young men that led to his association with various Companies of the Hose, in particular the Immortali. Its membership not only included a relative, Francesco Sanudo, but also one Agustin Moro. Among the various minor oces with which Sanudo was entrusted during his lifetime was temporary membership of the Sette Savii [seven wise men] in 1517. Agustin Moro was also appointed in the same year.3 It is possible that a friendship developed between the two. This would certainly explain his frequent attendance and detailed descriptions of entertainments organized by the Immortali.
