ABSTRACT

In this chapter we will describe how the theoretical conclusions to which we have been led were translated into a working curriculum. The project through which this was achieved was called Cognitive Acceleration through Science Education (CASE), funded by the British Economic and Social Research Council (Grant no. C00232179) from September 1984 until August 1987. Michael Shayer was the Project Director, and the full-time researchers were Philip Adey and Carolyn Yates.
