ABSTRACT
By the end of November 1912, the armies of the Balkan League were victorious almost everywhere. The exertion of war, however, had exhausted them. Likewise, the Ottomans were debilitated by their defeats. Their victory at Chataldzha, however, had given them some hope. Neither side was in a position to continue the fighting at the previous levels. Nor did either side have any serious expectation of outside help.
