ABSTRACT
Throughout this book there have been many implied references to values in education as well as explicit mention. In Chapter 2, when we considered Peters’ three criteria, we found that education involved the transmission of what is worthwhile, or what a particular society values so highly that it finds it important to pass it on to each succeeding generation.
