It is a document unique to the needs of your school. A good policy document will establish continuity and consistency and will be developed by a team of colleagues intent on reflecting the nature of practice within the school. There are many valid reasons for quality time being spent in establishing such a document. A good policy document will evolve over a period of time as priority areas are focused upon, reviewed, discussed, agreed and written up.
