ABSTRACT
This unit explores the topic of child labour and the rights of children. By contrasting the experience of young people today with the lives of children 200 years ago, the teaching activities hope to pose ethical questions about exploitation from a global context, as well as help students to explore some of the laws and strategies designed to protect children. By utilizing a global perspective it is hoped that students will discover that the issues surrounding child labour are rarely simple.
