ABSTRACT

An adjective qualifies (gives more information about) a noun or pronoun. It stands before or after it, depending on the grammar of the sentence. Adjectives standing after a part of the verb ‘to be’ (e.g. I was angry) are being used ‘predicatively’. In Polish, every adjective agrees in gender, number and case with the noun or pronoun which it qualifies. The example below shows some of the many possible variations of the adjective biały (white): https://www.niso.org/standards/z39-96/ns/oasis-exchange/table">
