ABSTRACT

In this the fi nal chapter, a classroom learning activity is suggested. Religion can be a sensitive subject given that students represent disparate cultural and religious backgrounds. How might teachers cover it thoroughly, and do so in a way that presents the material in a balanced and sensitive manner? While the topic can be approached like any other (i.e., lectures, discussions, etc.), drama in the form of readers’ theater is an ideal way to engage students. When students see an issue through the eyes of characters in a story, they may be more willing to express their views and ask questions. Th e chapter introduces a play that can be used to explore the mediareligion interface in an enjoyable manner that puts students at ease.1
