ABSTRACT

This is the most subjective chapter in the book. I’m telling you that right up front since I’m basing the chapter on my past experience working

with college students during crisis events, dodging bipolar patients wielding knives in the emergency room and working with angry and aggressive teenagers living in group home settings. Crisis management skill development requires fi rst hand experience to understand what works for you given your personality, attitude and general approach to the chaos unfolding in front of you.
