Introduction: working with the practical activities – to the teacher

The fi rst activity sequence – Where Do You Stand? (Chapter 8) – is intended for use as an in-service activity. Its audience is therefore meant to be teachers; though of course, the fact that it invites participants to take stock of their own ideological and pedagogical position regarding drama means that it might also be useful for older students who are considering studying drama as a subject specialism.
