ABSTRACT

This fi rst set of activities is primarily for teachers. Its purpose is to help you take stock of what you have read in Part 1 of the book and to consider your own ideological position regarding the relationship between English and drama pedagogy. Guidance on English and drama – from The Bullock Report (DES, 1975) to Developing Drama in English (DfE, 2010) – has emphasised the importance of teachers working together as a team and sharing a vision of the kind of drama curriculum that they feel is right for them and for their students.
