ABSTRACT
In 1990, Ms Tu Thi Bich Loc and her husband opened a small garment workshop with only 15 sewing machines. When government approved the open economy policy, Ms Loc chose garment sector for her business because she knew that many labourers were unemployed but skilful in making clothes, and garment products were exported easily at that time. The workshop had to move to four different places during between 1990 and 1994. In 1994, Ms Loc and her husband decided to start a private company called My Anh.
