ABSTRACT
Academic studies have shown the importance of research as a trigger of entrepreneurship in high-technology ventures (Wright et al. 2007; Zucker and Darby 1998). The following section maps nanotechnology research infrastructure based on various data sources coming mainly from the U.S. and the EU.
