ABSTRACT
The beauty and the abundant harvest of learning gardens have captured our attention as dynamic venues for education. When we walk down soft woodchip paths of learning gardens, we revel in the abundant harvest of fresh vegetables and fruit, admire the splendid colors of summer flowers or autumn leaves, and rejoice in the happy commotion of students bustling from one learning station to another. Underneath our feet lies the apparently quiet soil which breathes life into the delicious culinary harvest, animates spectacular flora, and supports the educational programs of school learning gardens.
