Algorithm. A systematic mathematical procedure that enables a problem to be solved in defined steps, especially by a suitably programmed computer.
Apparent resistivity. The mean resistivity value of the ground as measured by an electrode array, including any non-uniformity of the soil and of any objects buried within it.
