Social, moral, spiritual and cultural issues in Design and Technology

A consideration of social, moral, spiritual and cultural issues is integral to Design and Technology, because of the effects these issues have on people's needs and expectations. This chapter considers how these issues might be made explicit in the teaching of Design and Technology, in order to make pupils more aware of them.
