National Curriculum Design and Technology - is there a missing link? National Curriculum Design and Technology calls for the tackling of designing and making activities to meet particular needs. Issues encountered whilst designing and making are likely to demand the interaction of new and developing concepts that take students beyond their previous personal and educationally provided experience. They will be required to make increasingly more complex decisions and judgements and to develop concepts related to design and technology. Students will build their own platform of experience by drawing upon knowledge understood, skills developed and values formulated. Design and technology capability will enable students to cope with, participate in and make informed decisions about the values and purpose of technological change.
