ABSTRACT
In this approach, in consequence, the informal sphere is cultivated in order to achieve full-employment. This raises several issues. First, Giddens (1998) argues that we should beware of two forms of misplaced nostalgia. Left nostalgia is for the golden age of the developed welfare state coupled to fullemployment while Right nostalgia is a longing for a traditional family that has been somehow corrupted by the state.
