ABSTRACT
Architecture as a part of the real world cannot be reduced to a realm that is exclusively rational. Consequently a scientific discourse on architecture, like any design project, will necessarily rely upon value judgements. Values always playa role in architecture, explicitly or implicitly, due to that inextricable connection with the real world.
