ABSTRACT
Whether or not these first signs of Britain fighting back mark the beginning of a genuine recovery in world markets will depend critically upon whether lessons, so painfully wrought over the last few years, become accepted and acted upon. This final chapter reviews those principles of competitiveness more fully elaborated in Chapter 2, so as to develop the concept of competitiveness and to highlight what yet remains to be changed.
