ABSTRACT
Comparatively few human populations meet their food and clothing needs by hunting any more; and among those that do, their subsistence hunting leaves relatively little mark on the ecosystem. This map focuses on recreational hunting, whether for ‘sport’ alone or to supply the luxury trade in wildlife (see Map 33).
