ABSTRACT
Rural guerrilla conflict, though largely driven off the front pages of western newspapers by the
spectacular fashions of urban terrorism (see Part V), is still very much alive and probably accounts
for many more deaths, though these are in the less developed parts of the world and are usually of
local people.
