To an accurate observer, Superstition will generally be seen more or less prevalent in our character: it is the Weed of a religious Mind; and though it must ever wither before the clear light of reason, yet so great is our predeliction for supernatural agency, that whatever has a tendency to the marvellous is readily received and liberally encouraged.
