ABSTRACT
Hijjat signifies an argument, a proof,
evidence or testimony. Hujjat is also a
title given to Muslim scholars, especially
Shi ( ite religious authorities. There is an
expression Hujjat al-Islam (Proof of
Islam) that is used to describe out-
standing thinkers.
