ABSTRACT
In this chapter, I shift the focus somewhat, putting more emphasis on applications. To be sure, the theory in Chapter 2 was supplemented by a discussion of the incentives that pushed Begin and Sadat to accept an agreement at Camp David skillfully engineered by Jimmy Carter. And the predictions of some of the arbitration models of Chapter 3 were compared with data on labor-management settlements.
