A threat may be verbal – ‘I’ll do you’, ‘I know where your children go to school’, etc. Or it may be non-verbal and identified as brooding and intimidatory, where the person may have intermittent eye contact or even a fixed stare, maybe with an associated almost imperceptible head nodding; or it may be written. Take written threats more seriously as they take time and energy to complete and demonstrate a commitment to act.
