Poe's account of the reception of ‘The Balloon Hoax' in the Columbia Spy

Poe's contributions to the Spy — an obscure paper from Columbia, Pa. — were collected by Jacob E. Spannuth and Thomas O. Mabbott in Doings of Gotham (Pottsville, Pa., 1929). Poe's hoax appeared as an ‘Extra’of the New York Sun, 13 April 18 44.
