What counts as evidence?

In Chapter 9, various subtleties in the use and meaning of the word ‘evidence’ were discussed. We examined evidence as ‘ground for belief and considered how definitions offer standards for interpreting our experience of the world. Because it is naive to suppose that evidence can be simply collected, we now focus on the importance of context as well as some of the more practical aspects of what counts as evidence in different situations.
