ABSTRACT
In this chapter we broadly describe how we identified the population of people aged 90 and over, how we found the sample, how we approached the people we wished to interview, the questions we asked and the method of interviewing. Finally, we discuss the general outcome of our methodological approach. Technical details will be found in Appendix 1. We also give there an account of our method of analysing the data.
