PROCEDURES There are four important reasons why Sub-Contractors records should be kept distinct in the accounts system from other records.
1) The law in respect of the Tax Deduction Scheme requires special weekly and annual returns to the Inland Revenue. It is easier to prepare those returns is sub-contractors records are kept separate.
