ABSTRACT

As illustrated in the previous chapter, peer assessment seems to be the most popular way of involving students in assessment. Many teachers are aware of its benefits and student evaluations of peer assessment schemes suggest they perceive it to be beneficial to them, too. However, as with most approaches, there appear to be some problems associated with peer assessment. This chapter poses a number of frequently asked questions (FAQs) relating to such problems. Each question will be discussed, using research-based information wherever possible, and answers suggested.
