ABSTRACT

There are exceptions to this general rule, of course. We’ve all seen the television documentaries and read the magazine articles about those who have remained devoted to the King Of Rock And Roll since they first heard him in the late fifties; how they’ve named their houses Gracelands, how their children are all called Elvis Aron, how they spend their annual holiday camped outside the real Gracelands and how every weekend is spent at a different Elvis convention. Such people make the job of running a fan club a truly pleasurable one. However, such people are also a rarity and even a dying breed.
