ABSTRACT
The Fellowship of the Ring endured many frightful horrors. Weak and vulnerable before the guile and the armed legions of the evil empire of Mordor, the gentle, unassuming yeoman Frodo and his servant Sam, frail but brave companions, struggled to Mount Doom in the very heart of the empire of the Dark Lord Sauron, to cast the Ring of Power into the fires of the volcano. Once this ring was destroyed, the power of the Dark Lord would be destroyed with it. And so it came about.
