ABSTRACT
The improvement of the image contrast is a process that tends to make the images more beautiful to use, on sometimes subjective criteria. Even if we cannot necessarily say how a good image should look, it is often possible to say if it is optimized, sufficiently, for example, to see some details. There are therefore several techniques of image improvement, but manipulations of a histogram probably represents one of the most used methods.
