ABSTRACT
Classroom climate measures those factors in the organisation and social environment of the classroom that strongly affect pupils’ motivation and engagement in the lesson. Consequently there is a link between measures of classroom climate and pupil progress in learning. Teachers have a powerful influence over the climate in their classroom, through both their skills and their professional characteristics.
