ABSTRACT
The general aspect of the Mohmand country is, with few exceptions, wild, rugged and desolate. It consists of a dull monotony of brown rocky hills alternating with dusty sun-baked plains, which are, for the most part, scored in every direction by deep dry nalas (streambeds) (General Staff, 1926: 10).
