Concluding Consultation book
School psychologists and other educational consultants are busy people. Typically, our energy goes into the assessment and intervention stages of consultation, as it legitimately should. Carefully defining the problem, gathering the relevant assessment data, developing and implementing the intervention, all in a collaborative framework, are hard work. But as time goes on and the problem nears resolution (or not), it is not uncommon to begin to withdraw our energy and attention (Block, 1981), to move on to the next crisis or problem.
