ABSTRACT

In 1992-3, 800,000 people left Georgia, one-third of them Georgians (CDSP, 1994, vol. XLVI, no. 20, p. 12). The civil wars have resulted in 4,000 dead and more than 250,000 refugees (Business Central Europe, March 1994, p. 18). There is a small OSCE mission in South Ossetia.
