ABSTRACT
The question about what analysts do is recurrent and is curious. There is a large literature on the subject: Freud described in his case studies how he treated his patients and Jung tried much the same in his essays contained in Volume 16 of the Collected Works. There has since developed a large literature on the subject, especially from those who have deviated or have developed the supposedly recognized techniques.
