ABSTRACT
In this chapter I should like to explore the effects on a small family of collective beliefs about child-rearing, as well as the effect of unconscious parental fantasies and feelings about their developing child, that is to say, the archetypal field that colors the parental approach to a newborn and shapes its destiny.
