In the previous chapter of this book the idea of the therapeutic frame has been introduced and discussed in relation to the work of the pastoral counsellor. From this discussion it is clear that appropriate pastoral counselling practice needs to be based on careful reflection about the terms and setting within which pastoral counselling is offered.
